Sandiacre’s TG320LD form, fill and seal machines in their fresh produce packaging plant. The requirement was for a machine that would eliminate packaging-related product damage.

Sandiacre, introduced a new hybrid machine. A fully stainless steel, tilting, rail-mounted TG320LD machine was accepted to solve the problem of product bruising and disintegration that can be experienced during the packaging of delicate broccoli and cauliflower florets.

The TG32OLD machine, which is housed within a stainless support frame, can, by operation of a single switch on the operator panel, be tilted to any angle up to 45[degrees] from the vertical, so that the route into the bag is less torturous for delicate products. Thus, the product arrives undamaged in the pack, in one piece.

A complementary take-off elevator, which automatically repostions itself to suit the chosen packaging angle, was provided for the product outfeed route. Being rail-mounted meant that the machine could be readily realigned with the product feed device after the angle had been selected, and also moved to a remote location during the washdown of its associated feed device.

We have four of these available, some have ishida 14 bucket load scales, all came out of a working facility
